About the Role
As a Senior Fullstack Developer at Monterail, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, scalable software solutions using Ruby on Rails and TypeScript. Your primary focus will be on building complex dashboards, billing UIs, and documentation platforms that meet the highest standards of usability and performance. You will be working closely with the development team to identify and solve complex problems, ensuring that all solutions are well-tested and thoroughly documented.The role of a fullstack developer at Monterail is multifaceted, requiring a deep understanding of both frontend and backend development. You will be expected to take a feature from concept to delivery, working independently to identify problems, propose solutions, and see the project through to completion. Your expertise in Ruby on Rails and TypeScript will be crucial in helping the team develop innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the company and its clients.
What You Will Do
- Develop high-quality, scalable software solutions using Ruby on Rails and TypeScript
- Build complex dashboards, billing UIs, and documentation platforms that meet the highest standards of usability and performance
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and solve complex problems
- Ensure all solutions are well-tested and thoroughly documented
- Take a feature from concept to delivery, working independently to identify problems and propose solutions
- Develop deep knowledge of the company's platform (Pub/Sub, Chat, LiveSync) and use the product yourself to gain a first-hand understanding of the developer experience
- Monitor what you build in production and take personal ownership of quality issues
- See a feature through its entire lifecycle, from the first line of code to the final metric
- Provide realistic estimates based on technical complexity and communicate proactively if a timeline is at risk
