About the Role
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Myosotis GmbH, you will be an integral part of a dynamic, empowered product team that is passionate about creating simple yet elegant software solutions from complex requirements. This is a real product-focused role where you will have the autonomy to make meaningful decisions that directly impact the product's success. What You Will Do
- Build and maintain a high-quality, maintainable codebase written in Elixir with Phoenix, LiveView, TailwindCSS, and daisyUI, focusing on scalability, reliability, and developer happiness.
- Collaborate closely with the Product, Design, and Engineering teams to find smart solutions that balance speed, quality, and simplicity, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of the privacy and security aspects of the product from the outset, ensuring compliance with GDPR and implementing robust encryption, data separation, and security measures.
- Contribute ideas to improve the development process, stack, and team culture, fostering an environment of learning, growth, and collaboration.
- Engage in prototyping early and often, encouraging experimentation and learning from failed experiments to drive product evolution.
- Work on shaping the architecture for reliability, scalability, and long-term sustainability, considering the needs of both current and future users.
- Develop a clean, maintainable, and tested codebase that adheres to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Participate in team discussions and decision-making processes, bringing your expertise and perspective to the table to drive informed decisions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Elixir, Phoenix, and related technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve the product and processes.
What We Are Looking For
- Several years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer, with a strong preference for those with Elixir or Ruby experience.
- A deep care for code quality, balanced with pragmatism and craftsmanship, understanding that perfection is not the goal but rather a high-quality solution that meets the needs of users.
- Experience working in small, empowered teams where you can shape not just the product but also how it’s built, demonstrating autonomy, initiative, and a collaborative mindset.
- A product mindset, with the ability to explore unclear requirements instead of waiting for perfect specifications, showing proactive problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of the basics of GDPR and secure software design, recognizing the importance of privacy and security in product development.

- Professional-level English is required; German is a plus, as it may facilitate better communication with certain stakeholders.
