About the Role

The Senior HR Business Partner role at Cohere is a strategic position that partners closely with the company's GTM organization and senior leaders. As a trusted advisor, you will support leaders across various aspects of organizational design, leadership effectiveness, talent strategy, succession planning, and organizational health. This is a high-impact role that requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, influencing skills, and hands-on execution.

The GTM organization at Cohere is a critical component of the company's growth strategy, and as a Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in scaling this team. You will work closely with senior leaders to identify and address talent gaps, develop and implement effective organizational designs, and drive leadership effectiveness.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement organizational design strategies that support business growth and scalability
  • Coach and develop senior technical leaders to enhance their leadership skills and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement talent strategies that support the company's business goals, including performance management, retention, and succession planning
  • Support the development of organizational health and leadership capability, including team effectiveness and employee engagement
  • Collaborate with the People team to evolve the company's People infrastructure and operating model
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new hires, including developing and implementing effective onboarding programs
  • Analyze and provide insights on HR metrics and trends, including diversity and inclusion metrics
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies and benefits providers
  • Support the development and implementation of employee programs, including recognition and reward programs
  • Collaborate with the company's leadership team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that support business growth and scalability

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner role, preferably in a tech or startup environment
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and supporting the development of organizational design strategies
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective talent strategies
  • Experience with performance management, retention, and succession planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze HR metrics and trends
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with external partners
  • Experience with HR systems and tools, including HRIS and performance management software
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in an AI or machine learning environment
  • Knowledge of GTM organizations and the role of HR in supporting business growth and scalability
  • Experience with organizational design and development, including change management and implementation
  • Certification in HR, such as SHRM or HRCI
  • Experience with data analysis and metrics, including HR metrics and trends
