What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems to ensure the security and integrity of IonQ's quantum computing platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to integrate IAM solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of IAM systems, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop training programs and materials to educate users on IAM policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in the development of the company's overall security strategy, providing expert advice on IAM and related technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and threats in the field of IAM and quantum computing, applying this knowledge to continuously improve IonQ's security posture.
  • Engage with external partners and vendors to evaluate and integrate new IAM solutions and technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, promoting a culture of innovation, learning, and collaboration.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing IAM systems, preferably in a quantum computing or related high-tech environment.
  • Deep knowledge of security principles, including authentication, authorization, and encryption, and how they apply to IAM systems.
  • Experience with IAM technologies, such as identity management software, access management tools, and directory services.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other relevant regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud-based IAM solutions and platforms, such as AWS IAM or Google Cloud IAM.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

  • Experience with quantum computing principles and technologies.
