Job Description
About the Role
The Senior ICT Project Manager will play a critical role in managing large-scale IT projects, ensuring their successful implementation and maintaining the necessary documentation. This is a full-remote position, and the ideal candidate will have experience working with Microsoft Azure solutions, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Endpoint/Mobile Device Management.The role will involve managing IT projects, coordinating meetings, and providing technical advice on topics related to cloud-based infrastructure and services migration. The Senior ICT Project Manager will work closely with various teams, including the ICT Service Desk, ICT Infrastructure, and Business Applications teams, as well as external vendors.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing technical IT projects, with experience in ICT infrastructure, platforms, and telecommunication cloud migration. They will also have a solid understanding of change management, risk management, and project costing.
What You Will Do
- Manage IT projects and ensure their successful implementation, including testing and deployment, in adherence to the timeline, budget, and scope
- Document projects in compliance with the UN Agency's Enterprise Programme Management Office methodology and templates
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings and presentations to relevant governing bodies
- Complete IT change request documentation following the OIM's ICT Change Management methodology and templates
- Work closely with the ICT Service Desk, ICT Infrastructure, and Business Applications teams
- Provide technical advice on topics related to cloud-based infrastructure and services migration
- Provide technical advice on topics related to Endpoint and Mobile Device Management, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, and Cloud Telephony using Microsoft technologies
- Perform any other duties as needed
What We Are Looking For
- At least 5 years of experience in managing technical IT projects
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure solutions, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Endpoint/Mobile Device Management
- Certification in Microsoft Azure technology is highly desirable
- Strong experience in managing changes, risks, and issues
- Good experience in tracking project costs with external vendors
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Sound experience in senior stakeholder management
- Certification in project management (Prince2, PMP, or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Expert knowledge in spoken and written English
Nice to Have
- Experience with ITSM, ITIL, or ISO/IEC 20000
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and services migration
- Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Cloud Telephony
