About the Role
The Senior Infrastructure Architect will play a critical role in Salesforce's Professional Services team, working with the largest and most complex enterprise customers to deliver innovative solutions. This role entails leading enterprise-level technical architecture and governance, as well as serving as a strategic IT advisor to C-level executives and IT decision-makers. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, with expertise in Linux, Cloud Computing, and Kubernetes, and will be able to drive business value through the deployment of emerging technologies.As a Senior Infrastructure Architect, you will be part of a team that works across technologies and systems to deliver solutions to customers across every industry. What You Will Do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and IT decision-makers, guiding them in deploying emerging technologies that drive business value
- Lead infrastructure solution architecture and design via comprehensive requirements workshops
- Execute overall solution architecture, including managing other implementation resources and owning hands-on execution tasks
- Review project direction, identify and mitigate risks, and lead Technical Architecture and Governance for enterprise-level customer engagements
- Architect, implement, and support enterprise-grade, secure, and highly available infrastructure powering complex business solutions
- Scale technical best practices globally by developing and evangelizing reusable assets, reference architectures, tutorials, and methodologies
- Work closely with product teams to identify feature gaps and guide product direction
- Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems
- Lead enterprise-level technical architecture and governance, rationalizing emerging technologies and enabling customers to deploy scalable, highly available integration solutions
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams
What We Are Looking For
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Confidential Information (TS/SCI) clearance (U.S. citizenship required; contingent upon acceptable background investigation)
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Linux (scripting, system administration, performance tuning) and Cloud Computing/traditional data center technologies
- 2-4 years of experience leading and managing people as a Technical Lead
- Demonstrated expertise and track record of architecting, implementing, and supporting Enterprise-grade (highly available, scalable, high performance & secure) infrastructure powering complex business solutions
- Extensive Linux expertise, including diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex issues across various distributions
- Practical experience with managed Kubernetes offerings such as GKE, EKS, and AKS, and a working knowledge of the Kubernetes ecosystem and tooling (e.g. Helm, Docker, Istio, etc.)
- Experience with Cloud Computing, including infrastructure, virtualization, containerization, networking, storage, and platform
- Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage technical teams and stakeholders

- Experience with MuleSoft products and technologies
