In this role, you will work remotely from Poland, collaborating with a global team of engineers to drive innovation and excellence. What You Will Do
- Build infrastructure capable of managing metadata for hundreds of billions of files
- Handle hundreds of petabytes of user data and facilitate millions of concurrent connections
- Lead the expansion of Dropbox's function as a data-fabric, connecting hundreds of millions of applications, devices, and services globally
- Drive initiatives to enhance interoperability and adaptability across diverse ecosystems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle complex challenges and push the boundaries of what is possible
- Develop and maintain scalable systems that support current and future products
- Ensure seamless scalability and data integrity across all systems
- Optimize user experiences across various projects
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on infrastructure development
- Strong expertise in building scalable, reliable systems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
- Strong communication and mentorship skills
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes
