Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Inventory and Cost Analyst will play a critical role in iRhythm's financial planning and decision-making process. This position will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing costs, supporting month-end close, and driving financial initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial data to stakeholders.

As a key member of the finance team, the Senior Inventory and Cost Analyst will work closely with cross-functional leaders to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements. This role will also involve collaborating with supply chain and procurement teams to align inventory-related goals and mitigate business and financial risks.

The Senior Inventory and Cost Analyst will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest financial trends and best practices, and to continually develop their skills and knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close
  • Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Partner with leaders to identify risks and opportunities, and support cost initiatives
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support special projects as needed
  • Collaborate with the broader Cost Accounting/Operations FP&A team to establish KPIs and timelines
  • Perform analytics throughout the month on cost of sales, absorption, PPV, and other metrics
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's policies, internal controls, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Support annual standard cost updates and new part setup within the ERP system
  • Develop and maintain governance and audit controls

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, operations finance, or related roles
  • Experience in standard cost rolls, working with large data sets
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, data merges, and filters
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment
  • Strong understanding and proficiency in U.S. GAAP
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and escalate concerns as needed

Nice to Have

  • High attention to detail and ability to network with business owners outside of own area of expertise
  • Experience supporting the Operations/Manufacturing organization
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning software
  • Certification in cost accounting or a related field
