About the Role
The Senior Java Developer position at goPro Consultancy Group ltd. is a full-time, remote opportunity that requires a high level of technical expertise and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment. As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale applications using Java and related technologies. You will be working closely with the System/ Solution Architect to implement detailed application designs and ensure that all development tasks are completed to a high standard.The successful candidate will have a strong background in object-oriented design principles, software design patterns, and version control systems. They will be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. The role involves working normal office hours of Manila, which may require some flexibility depending on your location.
What You Will Do
- Develop software applications using Java and related technologies, following object-oriented design principles and software design patterns
- Implement detailed application designs provided by the System/ Solution Architect, ensuring high reusability and maintainability
- Participate in design and code walk-throughs for review and incorporate feedback into design and code artifacts
- Maintain technical documentation of all development tasks and ensure that it is up-to-date and accurate
- Work with team members to identify potential risks in application design and delivery, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks
- Perform unit and integration tests, and resolve any resulting issues or bugs
- Work with the architect to develop business systems using the Java/J2EE framework
- Communicate project status, issues, and risk factors to project team members and stakeholders
- Provide maintenance and technical support for existing applications, responding promptly to user support and enhancement requests
- Participate in agile development methodologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's or University degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on object-oriented design principles and software design patterns
- Good knowledge of Spring and Hibernate, and experience with version control systems
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment, with a high level of self-motivation and discipline
- Experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions
