Senior Laravel Developer

About the Role

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for implementing server-side logic, ensuring the security and integrity of the applications, and collaborating with your team members to identify and solve complex problems. Your work will directly impact the growth and success of Proxify's clients, and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from building new features to scaling existing applications.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement web applications using the Laravel framework
• Implement server-side logic to process front-end inputs
• Identify and fix bugs found within the code
• Interact with SQL databases to ensure data integrity and security
• Ensure all inputs going to a database have been parameterized to prevent SQL injections
• Implement appropriate security standards to protect against common web vulnerabilities
• Write unit test cases to verify code performance and prevent security breaches
• Create written documentation for different components of the application
• Liaise with fellow backend and frontend developers to ensure seamless integration of features
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and best practices
• Collaborate with the development team to solve complex problems and improve application performance

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of extensive experience with the PHP programming language
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Laravel framework
• Ability to problem-solve and think critically
• Understanding of the MVC pattern and its application in web development
• Understanding of SQL databases and their role in web applications
• Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with team members and clients
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing
• Knowledge of security best practices and how to implement them in web applications
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git

Nice to Have

• Experience with other PHP frameworks, such as Symfony or CodeIgniter
• Knowledge of front-end development frameworks, such as React or Angular
• Experience with containerization using Docker
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
