What You Will Do

- Provide legal guidance on matters related to data privacy, intellectual property, and contract negotiation.
- Oversee the creation of legal documents, such as contracts and agreements, to ensure they meet the company's legal standards.
- Manage and coordinate with external counsel as needed to ensure that Mercor's legal interests are represented.
- Stay updated on legal developments and advancements in AI law to continuously improve Mercor's legal strategies and compliance.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops to educate the research team on legal issues relevant to their work.
- Participate in the review and development of company policies to ensure they are aligned with legal requirements and best practices.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the legal field, with a focus on areas relevant to AI research such as technology law, intellectual property, or data privacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other productivity tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
- A law degree from a recognized institution, with admission to the bar in Germany or another relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience working on AI-related projects or in the tech industry is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal issues and develop creative solutions.
- Familiarity with German law and regulations, or the ability to quickly come up to speed on these matters.
