About the Role

As a Senior Lighting Artist at DECK 13 Interactive, you will play a key role in shaping the visual atmosphere and mood of our game worlds. You'll collaborate with a diverse and talented team to craft immersive and stunning lighting that enhances gameplay and storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Create dramatic and atmospheric lighting to convey mood and artistic vision
  • Work with gameplay considerations without sacrificing visuals
  • Use common lighting methods to achieve visual goals in smart and efficient ways
  • Collaborate with environment artists, character artists, VFX artists, game designers, and programmers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in game development with a focus on lighting
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and its lighting tools, including Blueprint
  • Proficiency in PBR workflows
  • Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling through lighting
