About the Role
The Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in designing, building, administering, and troubleshooting large-scale Linux infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to work on bare metal servers, storage systems, and enterprise Linux infrastructure, utilizing expertise in Linux administration, server hardware, and storage systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of server architecture, BIOS, RAID, firmware, and hardware troubleshooting, as well as experience with advanced Linux storage administration.As part of a team that values technical expertise, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the company's Linux infrastructure. What You Will Do
- Design, build, and administer large-scale Linux infrastructure, including bare metal servers and storage systems
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Linux, hardware, and storage systems
- Develop and implement solutions to improve the stability, security, and performance of the company's Linux infrastructure
- Collaborate with other engineers to design and implement new solutions and systems
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other teams
- Develop and maintain documentation of Linux infrastructure, including system architecture and technical configurations
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for critical systems
- Develop scripts and tools to automate tasks and improve system efficiency
- Conduct testing and validation of new systems and solutions
- Collaborate with other teams to design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
What We Are Looking For
- Expert-level Linux administration skills, including Ubuntu, Red Hat, and SUSE
- Deep expertise in bare metal server deployment, architecture, and administration
- Strong understanding of server hardware, including BIOS, RAID, firmware, and hardware troubleshooting
- Experience with advanced Linux storage administration, including LVM, XFS, EXT4, NFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel SAN
- Strong hands-on experience with Ceph, including cluster architecture, MON, OSD, MDS, RBD, CephFS, and RGW
- Experience with high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery
- Strong networking knowledge, including bonding, VLANs, routing, MTU, DNS, and DHCP
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux OS, hardware, networking, and storage
- Experience with Bash and Python scripting for automation
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects

- Experience with Kubernetes infrastructure, especially storage integration
- Experience with VMware or KVM
- Experience with Ansible
- Exposure to AWS or Azure
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline engineering
