## About the Role The Senior Localization Technical Program Manager will play a pivotal role in Mozilla's efforts to make its products accessible to a global audience. This involves working closely with various teams, including UX, Content, and Engineering, to ensure that products are designed with localization in mind from the outset. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of localization processes, workflows, and industry formats, as well as experience with online translation software. ## What You Will Do - Lead and scale localization initiatives by working closely with volunteer localizers to ensure sustainability and impact across products.

  • Drive localized product releases end-to-end, defining testing and quality strategies and setting priorities for localization bugs.
  • Own localization requests from internal partners, coordinating intake, scoping, and execution with language service providers and external platforms.
  • Make and communicate informed trade-offs to optimize time-to-delivery, quality, and resource allocation, using data and experience to guide decisions.
  • Partner with engineers and other localization program managers to design localization-ready features, improve tooling and workflows, and reduce risks.
  • Collaborate and influence effectively across regions and time zones, building strong relationships with internal clients and teammates to align on priorities and execution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of localization processes and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in localization, applying this knowledge to continuously improve Mozilla's localization efforts.
  • Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions for localization projects.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within the localization community, ensuring that Mozilla's products reflect the needs of its global user base.
## What We Are Looking For - Proven expertise in localization processes, workflows, and common industry formats used for software and web localization.
  • Experience working with online translation software and computer-assisted translation tools.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
