About the Role
The Senior Manager, Accounting role at Gladly is a critical position that requires a highly motivated and hands-on professional to lead the company's accounting function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire accounting process, from financial reporting and close to payroll and operational management. As a key member of the finance team, the Senior Manager will work closely with the senior finance leadership and other departments to ensure the company's financial operations are running smoothly.The role is based on a flexible, remote work arrangement, allowing the candidate to work from anywhere. What You Will Do
- Own the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements under US GAAP
- Manage the chart of accounts, general ledger, and fixed assets
- Lead complex revenue recognition under ASC 606 for subscription and usage-based models
- Serve as the internal expert for technical accounting research on new business models
- Run bi-weekly payroll in ADP and oversee accounts payable, expense management, and AR/collections
- Coordinate annual audits and tax prep as the primary liaison with external auditors
- Design and maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Manage and mentor a team of two accountants
- Partner with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting
- Contribute to fundraising and M&A from an accounting perspective
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in accounting, with 3+ years of managing or supervising
- Hands-on, daily NetSuite expertise and hands-on payroll processing in ADP or a comparable platform
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with ASC 606 and revenue recognition
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex accounting issues
- Experience with financial reporting and close, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Knowledge of internal controls and accounting policies
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI and SaaS companies

- Certification in accounting, such as CPA or CMA
