Job Description
About the Role
As a Senior Manager of Business Development at Gitlab, you will play a critical role in driving pipeline and results for the company. You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and mentoring Business Development Representatives (BDRs) in your region, ensuring their success and providing coaching and feedback to improve their performance over time. You will work closely with the sales team and other stakeholders to identify key company accounts to develop and create effective messaging for outbound communications.The role is 100% remote and will be based in the UK, Ireland, Germany, or the Netherlands. You will report to the Director, Business Development (EMEA) and will be expected to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do
- Train and mentor BDRs to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities
- Ensure BDRs improve their performance and abilities over time through coaching and feedback
- Plan for hiring and onboarding new BDRs
- Work closely with the Events and Digital teams on Field events and targeted ad and nurture campaigns
- Collaborate with Sales and other members of the Sales Development Leadership team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes
- Identify key company accounts to develop and create effective messaging for outbound communications
- Work with Content, Marketing Program Managers, and Product Marketing to develop effective messaging for outbound communications
- Analyze sales data and trends to inform business development strategies
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sales teams and customers
What We Are Looking For
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Two+ years of Business Development Management experience
- Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service for a technical product
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
- Experience in sales operations and/or marketing automation software
- Understanding of B2B software, Open Source software, and the developer product space
- Passionate about technology and learning more about Gitlab
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Adjust and other sales and marketing tools
- Knowledge of the DevSecOps platform market
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Certification in sales or marketing
