About the Role
The Senior Manager, Developer Evangelism, will play a key role in driving the growth and adoption of Twilio's products across the Americas region. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and community-building experience. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing regional strategies to inspire and equip developers to build with Twilio products.The role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure alignment and maximize impact. You will also be responsible for building and managing a team of developer evangelists, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute regional strategies to drive growth and adoption of Twilio products
- Lead and manage a team of developer evangelists, providing guidance and support to help them succeed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure alignment and maximize impact
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, customers, and partners
- Identify and prioritize regional programs and events to support developer engagement and adoption
- Communicate project plans, progress, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders at all levels
- Define and own the strategy for Developer Evangelism within the Americas region
- Practice servant leadership for the developer evangelism team
- Represent Twilio at industry events and conferences, showcasing the company's products and expertise
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to inform regional strategies
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in developer relations, evangelism, or a related field
- Strong technical skills, with experience working with cloud communications platforms and APIs
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on innovation and growth
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize regional programs and events
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales
- Knowledge of the developer ecosystem, including trends, tools, and platforms
- Experience with Excel and other productivity tools

- Experience working with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
- Familiarity with Twilio's products and services
