Job Description
About the Role
The Senior Manager, Employee Communications and Initiatives, plays a critical role in driving internal communications and employee engagement at Covetrus. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and executing internal communication strategies, managing key organizational initiatives, and fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency. As a key member of the HR team, this role will work closely with business leaders to provide strategic communication advice and support. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of what drives employee engagement and be able to craft compelling communications strategies that resonate with a diverse workforce.Day-to-day, this role will involve designing, executing, and evaluating communication plans, as well as managing multiple projects simultaneously. The Senior Manager will need to be adept at leveraging technology, including Excel, to drive project success and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions. With a strong focus on accountability, proactivity, and ownership, this individual will be a leader and driver in Covetrus' communications and employee engagement initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute internal communication strategies to support company-wide business priorities, culture, and change management
- Oversee all project stages, including defining scope, setting milestones, resource allocation, and effective stakeholder management
- Manage internal channels, including intranet, email, video, and newsletters, to ensure consistent messaging
- Act as a key partner to business leaders, providing advice on communication strategy and project updates
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and communication effectiveness
- Lead, motivate, and mentor team members, while fostering a collaborative environment
- Leverage project management tools and methodologies to drive projects to completion
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the organization, its products and services, strategies and objectives, internal structures, and external market
- Write, socialize, and execute on all internal communications to the North America business and global Covetrus workforce
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in communications or project management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for producing content and communicating up, down, and across the organization
- Ability to work in fast-paced and high-change environments, quickly build in-depth organizational knowledge, and manage multiple, time-sensitive workstreams simultaneously
- Acts with accountability, proactivity, and an ownership mindset; 'leans in' to/with the business to understand and drive results
- Demonstrated experience with project management tools and methodologies to drive projects to completion
- Ability to turn complex data into clear, persuasive messages
- Experience and comfort with data and reporting, leveraging AI tools, Excel, and other technologies

- Knowledge of change management principles and practices
- Certification in project management or a related field
