About the Role
The Senior Manager, Firefox Mobile Test Engineering, will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Mozilla's flagship mobile browser. As a key member of the Test Engineering team, you will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive test strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality gaps, and lead a team of engineers in delivering high-quality testing solutions.The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall quality strategy for Firefox Mobile, working closely with senior mobile leadership to set and achieve product outcomes. This will involve managing test automation engineering, observability, and exploratory testing programs, as well as partnering with product, UX, and engineering teams to advocate for user-centric design and quality improvements.

What You Will Do
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for Firefox Mobile
- Lead a team of engineers in delivering high-quality testing solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality gaps
- Manage test automation engineering, including prioritization and resource allocation
- Oversee observability programs, including dashboard development and automated reporting
- Lead exploratory testing programs, including skills development and program structuring
- Partner with product, UX, and engineering teams to advocate for user-centric design and quality improvements
- Represent the user's perspective in technical conversations and decision-making processes
- Manage and support a geographically distributed team
- Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and strategic plans
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a focus on mobile applications
- Strong technical leadership and management skills, with experience leading distributed teams
- Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools, including Python and Java
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision making
