Senior Manager - Fund Accounting

What You Will Do

• Manage the financial reporting process for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve issues and improve processes
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of private equity and real estate fund structures, as well as investment company accounting
• Analyze financial data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Work closely with the accounting and finance team to ensure seamless execution of fund accounting and finance functions
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, as needed
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fund accounting and finance

What We Are Looking For

• 7-10 years of accounting experience in public accounting or investment management
• Strong understanding of private equity and real estate fund structures, as well as investment company accounting
• Experience with investment company accounting under ASC 946
• Advanced Excel skills, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify issues and drive resolution
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail, with ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with account reconciliations and analytical review
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to investment management and fund accounting
• Certification in accounting or finance, such as CPA or CFA
• Experience with financial planning and analysis, as well as budgeting and forecasting
