About the Role
The Senior Manager, Inside Sales, will be a key leader in driving revenue growth and scaling the company's sales operations at Cohere. This role entails overseeing the entire inside sales function, from team leadership and strategy development to pipeline optimization and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the team is equipped to sell Cohere's cutting-edge AI solutions effectively, exceeding revenue targets and contributing to the company's long-term success.As part of the sales leadership team, the Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, customer success, and finance, to align sales efforts with broader business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of the sales process, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to analyze and forecast key sales metrics.

What You Will Do
- Lead and scale a high-performing inside sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that directly contribute to meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Optimize sales operations, streamlining processes, tools, and workflows to maximize efficiency, productivity, and win rates across the sales funnel.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, customer success, and finance teams to align sales efforts with broader business objectives.
- Analyze and forecast key sales metrics, tracking and analyzing sales data to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements.
- Provide technical enablement, ensuring the team has the knowledge and resources to effectively sell Cohere's AI platform.
- Mentor and develop top sales talent, with a focus on long-term career growth and leadership development.
- Represent the sales team in cross-functional meetings and contribute to high-level strategic planning.
- Oversee budget management for the sales team, including tools, training, and incentives.
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing and scaling inside sales teams in SaaS, AI, or enterprise software.
- Demonstrated ability to drive significant revenue growth and exceed sales targets in a competitive, high-growth environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor, motivate, and develop sales talent.
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, and Excel, with the ability to analyze and forecast key sales metrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the sales process, with the ability to optimize sales operations and streamline processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
