About the Role
The Senior Manager - Payroll at Compass Surgical Partners will spearhead the establishment of in-house payroll functions, ensuring operational excellence in a multi-state environment.Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Compass's internal payroll function.
- Manage multi-state payroll operations, including taxes and PTO accruals.
- Establish payroll controls and standard operating procedures.
- Oversee accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with payroll-related audits and regulatory inquiries.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, and Legal teams for seamless operations.
- Execute payroll onboarding for newly acquired centers.
- Manage year-end processing including W-2s and 1095-Cs.
- Develop documentation and training resources to support growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-10+ years of payroll experience, with a focus on multi-state operations.
- 3+ years in a senior or leadership position within payroll or HR operations.
Nice to Have
- Expertise in Excel and payroll management systems is crucial.
- Experience in the healthcare sector can be an advantage.
