About the Role

The Senior Manager, People Operations at Vanta will play a pivotal role in leading and scaling the People Ops function, overseeing a team responsible for end-to-end employee lifecycle administration. This includes managing the entire employee experience, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring seamless processes, and maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions. As a key member of the leadership team, you will report to senior management and collaborate closely with various departments to drive Vanta's mission forward.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction. Your expertise in HR management, coupled with a deep understanding of employment laws, payroll compliance, and regulatory requirements, will be crucial in navigating the complexities of a global workforce.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and manage a team of People Operations professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws, payroll regulations, and HR best practices across multiple countries.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth, improve employee experience, and enhance company culture.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits, compensation, and performance management programs, ensuring they are competitive, fair, and aligned with company goals.
  • Analyze and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and metrics to measure the effectiveness of People Operations initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance in HR systems, including data entry, reporting, and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as benefits providers, payroll vendors, and legal counsel.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of progressive People Operations or HR experience, with at least 3 years in a people management role.
  • Demonstrated expertise leading core People Ops functions at a high-growth technology company, with deep experience managing back-end administration and compliance across multiple countries.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll compliance, and HR regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HR systems and software, such as Workday, BambooHR, or similar platforms.
  • Certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI-PHR.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
