About the Role
The Senior Manager - Relationship Management role at Mercury is a critical position that entails leading a team of Relationship Managers to drive customer growth and commercial results. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing your team members, driving expansion revenue, and leveraging technology to scale. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Operations, Marketing, and Compliance, to ensure that customer needs are met and that Mercury's services are tailored to meet their demands.The Relationship Management team at Mercury is responsible for managing the company's highest-value customers, and as such, you will be expected to build strong relationships with these customers and identify opportunities for growth. You will also be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive commercial results, including identifying areas where AI and automation can be leveraged to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
As a leader in this role, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and to continuously evaluate and improve the team's processes and strategies. You will also be responsible for collaborating with other teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that Mercury's services are aligned with customer goals.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of Relationship Managers to drive customer growth and commercial results
- Coach and develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
- Drive expansion revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and wallet share growth
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and execute strategies to drive commercial results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that customer needs are met
- Build strong relationships with customers and identify opportunities for growth
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
- Continuously evaluate and improve team processes and strategies
- Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities
- Develop and manage sales forecasts and pipelines
What We Are Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or expansion sales
- 3+ years of experience managing a revenue-owning team
- Strong coaching instincts and experience developing team members
- AI fluency and experience leveraging AI to drive commercial results
- Strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to develop strategies to meet those needs
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with sales forecasting and pipeline management
