About the Role

The Senior Manager, Talent Management at Dropbox plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's approach to talent development and management. This role entails leading the design and implementation of talent management strategies, focusing on performance management, succession planning, and career development. As part of the Talent Management team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR Business Partners, to ensure alignment and effective execution of talent management practices.

Day-to-day, this role involves analyzing talent data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations to inform talent strategies. You will also partner with the VP of Learning and Development and Director of Learning to ensure that talent management practices are aligned with organizational goals and are innovative, customer-centric, and operationally excellent.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent management strategies that align with Dropbox's business objectives
  • Lead the design and delivery of performance management processes, ensuring they are fair, effective, and support business outcomes
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to identify, develop, and implement succession planning strategies for key roles
  • Work closely with the Learning and Development team to create career development pathways that support the growth of Dropbox's talent
  • Analyze talent data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Manage and develop the talent management team, providing coaching, guidance, and oversight to ensure the team meets its objectives
  • Partner with the organization's leaders to ensure that talent management practices are integrated into the overall business strategy
  • Stay abreast of best practices in talent management, ensuring Dropbox remains competitive and innovative in its approach
  • Develop and manage the talent management budget, ensuring effective use of resources

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
  • Proven expertise in talent management, including performance management, succession planning, and career development
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner with senior leadership
  • Experience with HR systems and tools, including Excel, for data analysis and management
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
