About the Role

As a Senior Marketing Data Scientist at Mozilla, you will be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of digital marketing. The Marketing Data Science team provides comprehensive analytical support to guide responsible and effective investment decisions, and you will play a key role in driving this effort. With a focus on end-to-end measurement solutions, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to quantify the true return of marketing efforts and inform data-driven decision making.

The role involves navigating a dynamic and often imperfect data environment, leveraging strong analytical skills, technical depth, and business domain understanding to uncover insights and refine existing tactics. You will be responsible for owning marketing tests end-to-end, collaborating with senior ICs to address critical data infrastructure needs, and developing reporting and monitoring tools to surface business insights.

What You Will Do

  • Own marketing tests end-to-end, leveraging and contributing to Python-based measurement workflows
  • Collaborate with senior ICs to address critical data infrastructure needs, support org-wide migrations, and develop new analytical and measurement solutions
  • Develop reporting and monitoring tools that surface business insights and increase visibility into marketing performance and impact
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to investigate questions related to performance, audiences, monetization, attribution, and data integrity
  • Provide flexible analytical support across the team’s project portfolio, taking high-level direction from senior ICs while independently owning specific components of the solution
  • Design and execute experiments to measure the impact of marketing efforts
  • Develop and maintain data models to inform marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into marketing campaigns
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in marketing analytics

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-3 years of experience conducting quantitative analyses, ideally within a marketing or growth environment
  • Master’s degree or higher in a computer, mathematical, physical, life, or social science discipline
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift)
  • Experience with Python and data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics and data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP)
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
