About the Role
The Senior MEAN Developer role at goPro Consultancy Group is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of expertise in designing and developing front-end and back-end solutions. As a remote contractor, you will work closely with an agile team to deliver high-quality code that meets the business requirements of an international organization based in New York. Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements, designing and developing prototypes, and communicating technical solutions to stakeholders.The team you will be working with is passionate about delivering innovative digital solutions, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of complex web applications using the latest technologies. The normal office hours of New York will be the reference point for your working schedule, which will be 4-6 hours per day.
What You Will Do
- Design and develop front-end and back-end solutions using JavaScript, Node.js, and MongoDB
- Translate designs and business requirements into high-quality code
- Develop cross-browser and cross-platform front-end web solutions including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and latest technologies
- Communicate technical solutions/concepts with trade-offs, risks, and benefits
- Develop prototypes for easy-to-navigate user interfaces of webpages with graphics, icons, and color schemes that match industry standards for accessibility
- Work with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code
- Collaborate with the QA team to resolve issues and improve application performance
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in web development
- Contribute to the development of complex web applications using the latest technologies
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor or University degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks and Restful web services
- Minimum 2 years Angular development experience (ag-grid, redux experience are plus)
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Node.js and MongoDB (with Mongoose)
- Exposure to build application services on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with architecting/implementing cache services such as Redis
- Experience using technologies such as HTML5, CSS for ‘mobile ready UI development
- Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required
- Ability to work 4-6 hours per day in the normal office hours of New York
Nice to Have
- Experience with architecting/implementing search APIs such as Elastic Search
- Experience with cache implementation for JSON data structures
- Experience with Excel
- Knowledge of cloud services like AWS
- Certification in web development or related field
