About the Role

The Senior Medical Copywriter role at Indegene is a unique opportunity for a talented writer to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of the content development team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, engaging copy for a range of digital and print assets, including emails, websites, social media, and sales materials. Your primary focus will be on supporting a leading pharmaceutical client, ensuring that all content meets regulatory requirements and brand standards.

You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, brand, and production, to deliver projects that meet client briefs and exceed expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and refine omnichannel content across digital and print assets, ensuring compliance with local legislation, FDA guidance, and internal MLR/PRC standards
  • Collaborate closely with design, brand, and production teams to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging copy that meets regulatory and brand requirements
  • Conceptualize, write, and update copy for digital assets, including emails, banners, websites, social media, and sales materials
  • Translate complex scientific information into clear, audience-appropriate language for both HCP and patient communications
  • Maintain voice, tone, and consistency across all assets, leveraging Generative AI tools to ideate, draft, and optimize content
  • Apply human editorial judgment to refine AI-generated content for clarity, compliance, and engagement
  • Conduct self-reviews and peer audits to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance
  • Partner with graphic designers, brand teams, production, and project managers to deliver projects in alignment with client brief
  • Participate in creative workshops, reviews, client, and PRC calls to clarify editorial decisions
  • Provide QA insights to improve workflows and first-pass approval rates

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical copywriting, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates your ability to create engaging, compliant content for healthcare audiences
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear, concise language
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FDA guidance and MLR/PRC standards
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including design, brand, and production
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality content under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and compliance
  • Familiarity with American Medical Association (AMA) style and other relevant editorial guidelines
  • Experience with Generative AI tools, such as Jasper AI, and the ability to apply human editorial judgment to refine AI-generated content

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with pharmaceutical clients, preferably in the biopharma industry
  • Knowledge of Veeva PromoMats and other content management systems
  • Familiarity with digital asset management systems and content distribution platforms
  • Experience with data analysis and metrics, including the ability to track engagement and measure content effectiveness
