About the Role

The Senior Mentoring Mortgage Loan Officer role at Castle Rock Capital Funding is a unique opportunity for experienced loan officers to build their own practice while mentoring and guiding junior team members. As a senior loan officer, you will be responsible for managing your own loan portfolio, as well as providing guidance and support to newer loan officers. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about mentoring and coaching, but also want to continue to produce and grow their own business.

The role is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home and create your own schedule. You will have access to a range of tools and resources, including a state-of-the-art loan operation system and a dedicated support team.

What You Will Do

  • Manage your own loan portfolio and provide guidance and support to junior loan officers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, including real estate agents, attorneys, and other professionals
  • Originate and close loans, meeting or exceeding monthly production targets
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to newer loan officers, helping them to develop their skills and grow their business
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices
  • Utilize a range of tools and software, including Excel and loan operation systems, to manage and track loan activity
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and grow your business
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

What We Are Looking For

  • An active Florida NMLS license (not a registration)
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a loan officer, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong networking and sales skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with referral sources
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to junior loan officers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions
  • Experience with a range of loan products, including conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on results and productivity

Nice to Have

  • Experience with commercial loans, loans for rental properties, and real estate investors
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and laws, including RESPA and TILA
  • Experience with marketing and social media, with the ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire junior loan officers
