About the Role

The Senior Mobile Monetization Engineer plays a pivotal role in CommIT's strategy to optimize and scale its mobile application monetization. This involves designing, developing, and optimizing the core monetization infrastructure to ensure maximum revenue, fill rate, and advertiser demand. Given the complexities of mobile ecosystems and the ever-evolving landscape of digital advertising, this role requires a deep understanding of ad-monetization strategies, software development, and data analysis.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Growth, Product, and Data, to align monetization strategies with overall business objectives. This includes integrating and optimizing mediation platforms, building intelligent optimization systems, and developing backend services for real-time monetization decisions. The role demands a blend of technical expertise, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills to drive business impact through engineering excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and optimize the core monetization infrastructure across multiple mobile applications to ensure scalability and revenue growth.
  • Improve ad waterfall and bidding performance to maximize eCPM, fill rate, ARPDAU, and total ad revenue through data-driven decision-making.
  • Integrate and optimize mediation platforms such as AppLovin MAX, AdMob, and LevelPlay to enhance ad performance and revenue.
  • Build and implement intelligent optimization systems for ad placement, frequency, segmentation, and pricing to personalize user experience and increase revenue.
  • Develop backend services and automation tools for real-time monetization decisions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze large-scale data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement in monetization performance.
  • Optimize SDK integrations for reduced latency, memory usage, and enhanced overall ad performance.
  • Collaborate with the Growth team to develop and execute strategies that increase user engagement and lifetime value.
  • Work closely with the Product team to ensure that monetization strategies align with product development and user experience goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including advertisers and platform providers, to stay abreast of industry developments and best practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • Deep understanding of ad-monetization domain, including RTB, Header Bidding, Waterfalls, Fill Rate, and eCPM/CPM optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with ad mediation platforms and mobile advertising SDKs.
  • Strong backend software development skills, with expertise in distributed systems, APIs, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with mobile development, preferably in both Android and iOS environments.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze large-scale data and implement data-driven improvements.
  • High-scale consumer app experience, with a track record of delivering solutions that impact millions of users.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex problems from multiple angles.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for advanced degrees or certifications.

  • Hands-on experience with specific ad mediation platforms such as AppLovin MAX, Google Ad Manager, or AdMob.
  • Knowledge of building internal optimization engines using AI or Machine Learning for predictive monetization models.
  • Familiarity with attribution, user segmentation, A/B testing, and predictive analytics to drive user engagement and revenue.
  • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud for scalable infrastructure solutions.
