About the Role
The Senior Observability Architect position at Grafana Labs is a strategic technical leadership role that focuses on driving long-term customer success. As a deeply technical expert, you will be responsible for architecting and guiding the implementation of complex observability solutions across a wide range of modern infrastructure and application environments. You will work closely with engineers, SREs, and architects to ensure Grafana's technology is not just deployed but deeply embedded into mission-critical systems.The Observability Architect will be the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of Grafana customers, designing the observability maturity journey and assisting them on that path. You will provide expert-level troubleshooting and guidance to drive adoption and conduct regular technical reviews and health checks to ensure client success.

What You Will Do
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of Grafana customers
- Design the observability maturity journey of customers and assist them on that path
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and guidance to drive adoption
- Conduct regular technical reviews and health checks to ensure client success
- Assist in RCA to understand issues that affect customer satisfaction, retention, and overall product experience
- Advise clients on best practices and strategies for leveraging our technology to achieve their business goals
- Collaborate with clients to develop and execute technical roadmaps
- Identify opportunities for clients to optimize their cost, expand their use of our solutions, and drive adoption of new products and features
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably in observability or a related field
- Expertise in Salesforce and Excel
- Strong understanding of systems thinking, architecture design, and customer impact
- Experience with complex observability solutions and modern infrastructure and application environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and scalable systems
- Familiarity with open-source principles and practices

- Experience with Grafana Cloud or other observability platforms
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts
