About the Role

The Senior Paid Social Strategist position at Directive is a pivotal role that involves overseeing and leading a collection of social media accounts, with a primary focus on LinkedIn Ads. As a key member of the social media team, this strategist will work closely with mid-market and enterprise clients to develop and execute paid media campaigns that drive results. This role reports to the Associate Director and is crucial for communicating campaign performance, creating custom strategies, and ensuring the alignment of tasks and improvements with vendors and operational partners.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of social media accounts, focusing on LinkedIn Ads for B2B businesses.
  • Develop and execute paid media strategies that drive cross-sells, upsells, and referrals through client relationships and professional networks.
  • Communicate campaign results and performance to clients, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on goals and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to ensure internal and client goals are met, and contribute to the growth and development of the social media team.
  • Utilize Google Analytics, GA4, and Excel to analyze campaign data, making informed decisions to optimize campaign performance and maximize ROI.
  • Work closely with vendors and operational partners to ensure tasks are aligned, and improvements are continuously implemented.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize budgets for paid media campaigns, ensuring fiscal responsibility and campaign efficiency.
  • Provide fractional support for internal marketing initiatives, helping to promote the agency's services and offerings.
  • Drive the development of high-performing LinkedIn strategies tailored to B2B businesses, leveraging the latest ad units and targeting options.
  • Deeply understand client positioning, unique value propositions, and lead routing within the CRM to ensure accurate and effective campaign execution.

What We Are Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience working in a performance or digital marketing agency, with hands-on experience in B2B paid social advertising, particularly on LinkedIn.
  • Deep expertise in paid social advertising campaigns, including but not limited to LinkedIn Ads, conversation ads, document ads, and CTV.
  • Proficiency in using advertising platforms and tools such as LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Zoominfo, 6Sense, and similar technologies.
  • Ability to delegate tasks to junior team members and ensure joint success, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong understanding of paid media principles, including keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization.
  • Experience with audience segmentation, including tier, job title, and other relevant targeting options.
  • Proven success in managing mid-market or enterprise accounts, with measurable results in campaign performance and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to translate and articulate complex strategy into actionable insights, using data to tell compelling stories.

  • Experience with Programmatic campaigns and understanding the value they bring to a holistic marketing strategy.
  • Familiarity with customer generation methodologies, focusing on SQLs and customers over traditional metrics.
  • Knowledge of OCT and how to drive results and measure success through this framework.
