## About the Role The Senior Partner Manager - Channels position at Datadog is a pivotal role that focuses on building and activating a strategic, differentiated, and high-impact partner ecosystem. This role is designed to recruit and develop channel partners that drive new customer adoption and revenue. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cloud services and software as a service (SaaS) landscape and the ability to navigate complex partnerships.
As a key member of the Channels & Alliances Team, the Senior Partner Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including regional and global systems integrators, managed service providers, and value-added resellers. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying new partnership opportunities, enabling and activating existing partners, and hosting regular business reviews to ensure alignment and success.

## What You Will Do - Identify and recruit new strategic channel partners to drive revenue growth and expand Datadog's customer base.
- Enable and activate existing partners through comprehensive training, planning, and joint selling activities to maximize partnership potential.
- Coordinate the technical and marketing aspects of integrated partnership launches to ensure seamless execution.
- Host regular business reviews with partners to drive accountability, report on success metrics, and align on future strategies.
- Work closely with Datadog's regional enterprise and commercial sales organizations to leverage partnerships for mutual growth.
- Generate partner-sourced net-new sales pipeline and revenue, focusing on strategic partnerships that drive long-term value.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Datadog's products and services to effectively communicate value propositions to partners and customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product, to align partnership strategies with overall business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to continuously improve partnership strategies and outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at partner companies.
- Proven track record of driving sales opportunities from lead generation to closure, with a strong ability to negotiate agreements and build lasting partnerships.
- Ability to quickly comprehend technical concepts and architectural scenarios, and effectively explain them to others both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in managing premier Cloud MSP partners, with a deep understanding of their needs and how to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time for partner meetings, industry events, and team collaborations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with data analysis tools like Excel, and the ability to leverage data insights to inform partnership decisions.
- Knowledge of the current landscape of cloud services and SaaS solutions, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Experience with sales training programs, such as MEDDIC and Command of the Message.
- Familiarity with the Italian market and its specific challenges and opportunities.
