Job Description
About the Role
The Senior Partner Manager position at Close is a pivotal role, responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships. As a key member of the sales team, you will be tasked with identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new partners, as well as nurturing existing relationships to maximize their potential. With a focus on GTM partnerships, you will work closely with the sales and customer success teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 150 partners, developing account plans, and running regular business reviews to ensure revenue targets are met. You will also be tasked with recruiting and onboarding 15-30 new partners per quarter, equipping them with the necessary tools and training to succeed.
What You Will Do
- Own a portfolio of ~150 partners and their revenue output, developing account plans and running regular business reviews
- Recruit and onboard 15-30 new partners per quarter, identifying those that fit Close's ideal partner profile
- Turn activation into a repeatable motion, building systems to make partner activation a scalable process
- Enable partners to sell Close effectively, providing product training, sales playbooks, demo support, and competitive positioning
- Coordinate and co-sell with Close's direct sales and customer success teams to ensure smooth deal closure
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion
- Develop and execute a comprehensive partner management strategy, aligning with the company's overall sales and growth objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine partner-facing materials and messaging
- Analyze partner performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in partner management, applying this knowledge to continuously improve partner relationships and revenue growth
What We Are Looking For
- 5-7 years of experience in partner sales or channel management, with a strong background in GTM partnerships
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets, with a strong understanding of sales metrics and KPIs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and internal stakeholders
- Strong business acumen, with a solid understanding of partner economics, incentive design, and tiering strategies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze partner performance data and identify areas for improvement
- Experience with CRM software and sales tools, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
- Strong consultative skills, with the ability to coach and enable partners to sell effectively
Nice to Have
- Experience working with agencies, SIs, and GTM consultants, with a strong understanding of their business models and sales strategies
- Knowledge of the sales software and CRM industry, with a solid understanding of the competitive landscape
- Experience with sales playbooks and demo support, with the ability to develop and refine partner-facing materials
- Certification in sales or partner management, such as CSMP or PMP
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, with a strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively
