About the Role

As a Senior People Partner at Mercury, you will play a vital role in shaping the company's organizational health and team effectiveness. You will work closely with leaders across the Legal, Compliance, and Risk organizations to provide strategic HR support and guidance. This role is critical in driving business outcomes and scaling the company's growth.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to executives and leaders across Legal, Compliance, and Risk
  • Provide consultative support on people-related issues, including performance management, employee relations, and organizational development
  • Drive key talent processes, including annual performance reviews, talent planning, and compensation cycles
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to build impactful programs spanning recruiting, talent management, employee relations, internal mobility, and employee engagement
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of organizational health and design interventions to address potential challenges or areas of risk
  • Coach and advise leaders and managers on people-related issues, including performance management, coaching, and employee development
  • Develop and implement creative HR solutions to drive business outcomes and scale the company's growth
  • Collaborate with the People team to build and implement people processes and programs that can scale with the company's growth

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7-10+ years of experience in a people-facing HR role, with at least 2 years as an HR Business Partner
  • Skilled in coaching, facilitation, and influencing colleagues at different levels
  • Experience working in a high-growth company, preferably in the fintech or tech industry
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the fintech industry
  • Ability to build thoughtful, innovative people processes that can scale with the company's growth
  • Passion for tackling problems and solving them in a creative and principled way
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information discreetly
  • Experience working with HR tools and systems, including Workday, Lattice, and Notion

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
  • Knowledge of fintech or banking regulations and compliance
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, particularly in HR metrics and analytics
  • Certification in HR, such as SHRM or HRCI
