## About the Role As a Senior People Process Optimization Strategist at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in driving the execution of process transformation initiatives that enhance the end-to-end employee experience. This involves identifying inefficiencies, redesigning processes, and implementing scalable, tech-enabled solutions. The role is deeply ingrained in process design, execution, and change management, with success metrics including faster, simpler processes, high adoption rates of new workflows, and measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and employee satisfaction. You will work closely with various teams, including Centers of Excellence, People Business Partners, Product, Engineering, and Operations, both globally and within the organization.

The role's impact extends beyond process optimization to affecting the overall employee experience and company culture. By leveraging technology and data-driven insights, you will contribute to creating a more efficient, intelligent, and AI-enabled People Operating System. This not only requires a deep understanding of process transformation methodologies but also the ability to manage change effectively, ensuring that new processes are not just implemented but also adopted and sustained over time.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Process Transformation and Continuous Improvement, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to driving continuous improvement and transformation within DoorDash. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement, designing and implementing new processes, and ensuring that these processes are aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

## What You Will Do - Own and execute process transformation initiatives across People functions, including HR, Talent Acquisition, onboarding, and lifecycle processes.

  • Analyze current-state processes to identify inefficiencies, root causes, and automation opportunities, leveraging tools like Excel for data analysis.
  • Redesign workflows using continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to reduce friction and cycle times.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, tech-enabled solutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Drive change management for new processes, including stakeholder alignment, communication, and rollout planning to ensure smooth adoption.
  • Assess change impacts, identify risks, and build mitigation plans to support successful implementation and minimize disruption.
  • Develop enablement materials such as playbooks, training, and guidance to ensure teams can effectively adopt new processes.
  • Define and track success metrics, including time savings, SLA improvements, quality, and adoption rates, and iterate based on results to continuously improve processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to align on requirements and move initiatives forward, promoting collaboration and consensus.
  • Build and maintain dashboards or reporting to monitor process performance and identify gaps, using data to inform decision-making.
## What We Are Looking For - 4-8+ years of experience in process transformation, continuous improvement, or operations, with a preference for experience in HR/People functions.
  • Hands-on experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies, with certification being a plus.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable improvements, such as reduced cycle time, cost savings, increased quality, or adoption.
  • Experience driving or supporting change management and adoption of new processes, systems, or tools, with a focus on sustainability and long-term impact.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and translate insights into practical, actionable solutions.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with business, operations, and technical stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to define success metrics and measure impact, using data to tell a story and inform strategic decisions.
  • Clear communicator who can influence without direct authority and translate complex changes into actionable, easy-to-understand guidance.
## Nice to Have - Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or similar, to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, to analyze and present data insights.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled process automation and its applications in HR and People functions, to drive innovative solutions.
  • Certification in process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, to demonstrate expertise.
