About the Role

The Senior Product Designer role at Affirm is a pivotal position that will drive the design of end-to-end experiences for the company's direct-to-consumer products, including the App and Card experiences. As a senior member of the design team, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes that evolve how people interact with their money. The Direct-to-Consumer team plays a critical role in building direct, lasting relationships with Affirm's customers, and as a Senior Product Designer, you will be at the forefront of this effort. Your work will involve shaping the user experience, defining clear problem statements, and driving design direction to improve customer and business outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end design for key initiatives within a product area, from discovery to delivery and iteration, driving meaningful customer and business outcomes.
  • Own complex flows and ambiguous problem spaces, defining clear problem statements, success metrics, and design direction.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and data teams to make informed trade-offs and deliver intuitive, high-quality experiences.
  • Balance speed and quality, making pragmatic decisions while contributing to a cohesive product experience.
  • Use research, data, and experimentation to inform decisions and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to design systems and patterns, strengthening consistency and scalability across your area.
  • Facilitate alignment and decision-making, ensuring teams move forward with clarity.
  • Support and mentor other designers, helping raise the quality of work across the team.
  • Participate in design critiques, providing constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve design practices.
