About the Role
The Senior Product Designer position at JustPlay GmbH represents a unique opportunity to shape the design vision and elevate the product design function of a platform used by millions. This role is crucial in creating experiences that inspire players and drive retention, focusing on content discovery, player motivation, and engagement design. As a key member of the design team, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver both bold long-term ideas and immediate, high-impact improvements.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve contributing to the user experience from conception to launch, developing and advocating for the design vision of one of the world's top entertainment apps. JustPlay GmbH is looking for a candidate who can not only bring proven expertise in gamification and user engagement but also demonstrate the ability to create experiences that inspire players and drive retention. The ideal candidate should have experience scaling or refining established design teams and processes, with a portfolio showcasing impactful mobile design work.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to user experience from conception to launch, developing and advocating the design vision for the app
- Create user-centric designs, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for the JustPlay app
- Develop features that elevate the entire player journey, with emphasis on game discovery and loyalty gamification
- Drive measurable business outcomes through design decisions that balance player delight and company growth
- Support evolving JustPlay's design guidelines and design system
- Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions within technical constraints
- Apply platform best practices to ensure design quality and seamless interactions across devices
- Transform research insights and analytics into actionable design concepts
- Work with cross-functional leaders to identify where AI and automation can streamline design operations
- Establish and maintain effective design processes that scale with the team
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance product usability
- Stay current with mobile gaming trends and the advertising ecosystem
- Foster a high-performing, growth-minded design team through mentorship and feedback
What We Are Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience designing end-to-end mobile product experiences, ideally in gaming or entertainment
- Experience scaling or refining established design teams and processes
- A portfolio showcasing impactful mobile design work
- Proven expertise in gamification and user engagement
- Expert proficiency in Figma
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to craft
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
