About the Role

The Senior Product Designer role at Netflix's Enterprise Experience Design team is a unique opportunity to drive innovation in the digital entertainment industry. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing products that enhance the content planning, production, launch, and promotion process for Netflix's global audience. Your work will have a direct impact on the user experience, making it essential to have a deep understanding of the company's goals and the needs of its members.

The Enterprise Experience Design team is focused on creating high-quality infrastructure that supports innovation at scale. This involves leveraging data and AI technology to improve operational workflows and content decision-making. As a Senior Product Designer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, research, and merchandising, to take the business to the next level.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include partnering with team members to define the team's strategy and vision, rapidly sketching and testing prototypes, and working with engineering to refine features as they are being built. You will need to have empathy and a deep understanding of Netflix's global users to create intuitive experiences that make it easy to get the job done.

What You Will Do

  • Partner closely with multi-disciplinary team members to drive business growth
  • Work across all stages of the design process, from user research to implementation support
  • Conduct generative user research and exploration to deeply understand users and their needs
  • Create beautiful, emotionally compelling, pixel-perfect mockups and prototypes of the end-to-end user experience
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs with users
  • Partner with product managers to craft systematic solutions that connect the dots between user needs, data, business goals, and business strategy
  • Collaborate with engineers to build impactful products and features within the constraints of Netflix's technology and timeline
  • Facilitate collaborative work sessions with all levels of company stakeholders
  • Advance the discipline of product design within the company
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve design solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on human-centered design
  • A strong portfolio that showcases your design process and solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong understanding of user research and testing methodologies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Experience with data-informed design and the ability to leverage data to drive design decisions
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the entertainment or media industry
  • Knowledge of AI technology and its applications in product design
  • Experience with front-end development and the ability to write clean, efficient code
  • Certification in design or a related field, such as UX design or human-computer interaction
