Senior Product Designer

What You Will Do

• Lead the design process from concept to implementation, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and design specifications
• Apply user-centered design principles to create solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs and business objectives
• Contribute to and maintain Filevine's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, iterate on solutions, and ensure successful implementation
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, review design work, and help establish best practices within the design team
• Participate in and sometimes lead user research activities to validate design decisions and gather insights for future improvements
• Analyze user feedback and product metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing existing features and experiences
• Design and develop prototypes to test and refine design concepts
• Create high-quality design specifications and documentation to ensure effective implementation

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS, enterprise software, or legal technology
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience designing complex workflows
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Understanding of design systems and familiarity with front-end development principles
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, strong collaboration skills, and the capacity to give and receive constructive feedback
• Experience designing for professional users and complex workflows; familiarity with legal processes is a plus

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and regulations (e.g., WCAG 2.1)
• Knowledge of front-end development frameworks and languages (e.g., React, JavaScript)
