About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer at Filevine, you will play a critical role in creating exceptional user experiences for the company's legal work platform. You will be responsible for designing intuitive, efficient, and visually compelling solutions that address the complex needs of legal professionals. What You Will Do
- Lead the design process from concept to implementation, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and design specifications
- Apply user-centered design principles to create solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs and business objectives
- Contribute to and maintain Filevine's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, iterate on solutions, and ensure successful implementation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, review design work, and help establish best practices within the design team
- Participate in and sometimes lead user research activities to validate design decisions and gather insights for future improvements
- Analyze user feedback and product metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing existing features and experiences
- Design and develop prototypes to test and refine design concepts
- Create high-quality design specifications and documentation to ensure effective implementation
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS, enterprise software, or legal technology
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience designing complex workflows
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Understanding of design systems and familiarity with front-end development principles
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, strong collaboration skills, and the capacity to give and receive constructive feedback
- Experience designing for professional users and complex workflows; familiarity with legal processes is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and regulations (e.g., WCAG 2.1)
- Knowledge of front-end development frameworks and languages (e.g., React, JavaScript)
