Senior Product Designer

About the Role

The company's Connected Operations Cloud platform enables organizations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data, developing actionable insights and improving operations. Your efforts will contribute to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of industries such as agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.

What You Will Do

• Lead large, ambiguous projects, shipping high-impact designs that unlock significant customer and business value
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams on strategy, planning, and execution
• Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform the strategy
• Influence the design team through mentorship and contribute to shaping the company culture
• Champion Samsara's cultural principles, such as Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, and Win as a Team
• Drive design and execution for strategic initiatives, delivering end-to-end experiences that impact customers
• Explore design solutions and deliver value to customers
• Engage directly with customers and leverage their feedback throughout your process
• Identify customer needs and develop design solutions to address them
• Deliver well-crafted designs that make customers' operations more efficient, safe, and sustainable

What We Are Looking For

• 6+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web and mobile applications
• Proven comparable design expertise in interaction and visual design
• A strong portfolio and/or case studies showcasing design craft and ability to solve user-problems with quantified impact
• Demonstrated proficiency in using AI tools to accelerate workflows, boost creativity, and prototype
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering
• Strong understanding of design principles and human-centered design methodologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with design systems and contributing to the development of design languages
• Knowledge of front-end development principles and technologies
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems
• Experience working with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop design solutions
