What You Will Do

• Design products that simplify complex developer workflows, making them feel effortless and intuitive.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and other designers, to develop and refine product experiences.
• Lead the elevation of Sentry's design language, focusing on consistency, accessibility, and ease of use.
• Advocate for design excellence at all levels of the product, ensuring that every interaction reflects the company's commitment to quality and user experience.
• Conduct user research, gather feedback, and use these insights to inform design decisions and improvements.
• Develop and maintain design systems that support the growth and evolution of Sentry's products.
• Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the growth of the design team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and methodologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve Sentry's products.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure design concepts are feasible and to provide design support during the development process.
• Develop prototypes to test and validate design assumptions.
• Work closely with product managers to define product requirements and ensure design solutions meet these needs.

What We Are Looking For

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing complex software products, with a portfolio that demonstrates your impact and expertise.
• Skilled in visual and interaction design, with a strong understanding of structure, hierarchy, and clarity.
• Ability to take complex, technical workflows and turn them into effortless user experiences.
• Experience with design tools like Figma, with the ability to quickly move from idea to prototype.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Passion for consistency, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance consistency with intentional design decisions.
• Experience in building and shipping products as part of a small, fast-moving team.
• Curiosity and drive to understand how developers work, the challenges they face, and what enables them to do their best work.
• Fluency in modern design tools and technologies.
• Ability to translate user research into actionable design decisions.

• Experience in building design systems and contributing to open-source projects.
