About the Role
The Senior Product Manager, AI Platform Management, will play a critical role in shaping the direction of Gitlab's AI Platform Management capabilities. As a key member of the product team, you will lead product discovery and delivery for AI Control Plane capabilities, focusing on governance, orchestration, and audit capabilities. Your role will involve collaborating closely with engineering, design, and partner teams to turn ambiguous problems into clear plans.Gitlab's commitment to AI-driven solutions is evident in its product offerings, with a focus on increasing developer productivity, improving operational efficiency, and reducing security and compliance risk. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining product direction for configuration and governance experiences related to agents, Model Context Protocol servers, tools, skills, and approval flows.
The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and product, to drive alignment across stakeholders. You will be responsible for presenting trade-offs, alternatives, and product recommendations grounded in customer and business impact. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be essential in this role.
What You Will Do
- Lead product discovery and delivery for AI Control Plane capabilities
- Define product direction for configuration and governance experiences related to agents, Model Context Protocol servers, tools, skills, and approval flows
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and partner teams to turn ambiguous problems into clear plans
- Drive alignment across stakeholders by presenting trade-offs, alternatives, and product recommendations
- Own prioritization decisions for a platform area that supports multiple teams and products
- Partner with engineering managers to ensure successful execution of product plans
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency

- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on AI-driven solutions
