Senior Product Manager - API & Agentic Banking

About the Role

The role will involve working with a range of stakeholders, including engineering, design, and business teams, to develop and launch new products and features. You will be responsible for defining product requirements, developing business cases, and working with stakeholders to prioritize and execute on product initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Own the roadmap for Mercury's API and drive it from niche, read-heavy usage toward a comprehensive platform that enables customers to build on top of Mercury
• Define Mercury's strategy for connecting to the broader ecosystem of AI tools and developer platforms
• Lead the product vision for how AI transforms the way people interact with their finances inside Mercury
• Develop a deep understanding of how Mercury's most technical customers use our API today, and what they're trying to do that they can't yet
• Partner with engineering to make hard technical tradeoffs about API design, data access, and capabilities
• Work closely with Mercury's growth and partnerships teams to ensure our API and AI products are a competitive advantage in acquisition and retention
• Navigate a high-velocity environment where leadership cares deeply about this space and expects you to move fast and think originally
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and launch new products and features
• Define product requirements and develop business cases for product initiatives
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize and execute on product initiatives

What We Are Looking For

• 7+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent building API products, developer tools, or AI-powered products
• Experience in driving strategy and roadmap for complex products
• Strong understanding of API and AI product development
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to market
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in a high-velocity environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Experience with agile development methodologies

Nice to Have

• Experience with fintech or banking products
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Certification in product management or a related field
