About the Role
The Senior Product Manager for Applied AI at Smartsheet is a pivotal role that will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for specialized AI agents and evaluation infrastructure. This position requires a unique blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership. As a key member of the Applied AI organization, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's AI-driven solutions and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and progress.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve working closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to ship complex agent capabilities end-to-end. The Senior Product Manager will also be responsible for defining agentic development standards that enable teams beyond their own to build high-quality agents. This will require strong technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What You Will Do
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for specialized AI agents and evaluation infrastructure
- Ship large, technically complex agent capabilities end-to-end with a high degree of autonomy
- Define agentic development standards that enable teams beyond your own to build high-quality agents
- Mentor and develop junior product managers on your team
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships with engineering, design, and data science to drive alignment and move work forward
- Support other duties as assigned by the Director of Product Management for Applied AI
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize product requirements
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market, industry trends, and customer needs
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure successful implementation of product capabilities
- Analyze data and customer feedback to inform product decisions
What We Are Looking For
- 8-10+ years of product management experience with technically complex platforms
- Fluency in AI/ML concepts, including model evaluation and agent architecture
- Strong technical expertise, with the ability to dive deep into complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and inform product decisions
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or Docker
- Experience with product management tools, such as JIRA or Asana
