About the Role

The Senior Product Manager position at Nerdwallet is a critical role that drives the optimization of growth funnels and data-driven user experiences within the Consumer Lending vertical. This role is specifically focused on scaling paid and organic acquisition loops and maximizing funnel conversion for Mortgage and Personal Loan products. As a key member of the team, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to execute strategies that bridge the gap between marketing spend and product engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of performance marketing, digital funnels, and consumer finance. You will be responsible for developing and executing product roadmaps that optimize the performance marketing engine, landing page experiences, and funnel conversion. Your expertise in data analysis, A/B testing, and behavioral analytics will be essential in driving conversion excellence and growth integration.

The Senior Product Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering, and will work closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Performance Marketing teams to ensure the technical roadmap fuels top-line lending growth.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute product roadmaps that optimize the performance marketing engine, landing page experiences, and funnel conversion
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and Performance Marketing to ensure the technical roadmap fuels top-line lending growth
  • Work closely with in-house sales organizations and third-party lenders to ensure a seamless hand-off from click to funded loan
  • Continuously monitor performance metrics to ruthlessly optimize for user conversion and business efficiency
  • Lead a rigorous 'test and learn' roadmap across lending funnels, using A/B testing and behavioral analytics to optimize user engagement
  • Partner with Marketing and SEO to ensure the product experience is deeply aligned with acquisition strategies, maximizing the value of every website visitor
  • Act as the primary connective tissue between Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing to ensure the technical architecture supports complex growth logic
  • Own the digital-to-human handoff strategy, ensuring a seamless journey from a user's initial search to final loan fulfillment
  • Build product experiences that maximize user lifetime value by intelligently re-engaging users through personalized 'next-best-action' features and lifecycle triggers

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, specifically focused on conversion rate optimization, ecommerce funnels, or performance marketing
  • Proven track record of managing high-traffic web experiences, with a deep understanding of how to bridge SEO and Paid Acquisition strategies with product-led growth
  • Demonstrated success in launching complex product initiatives that move the needle on core business KPIs like CAC, LTV, and Conversion Rate
  • Expert-level experience with A/B testing, data analysis, and behavioral analytics
  • Strong understanding of consumer finance, lending, and mortgage sectors
  • Experience working with Google Analytics, Adjust, and Excel
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Experience with dynamic landing page engines and personalized landing pages
  • Knowledge of digital mortgage applications and self-service digital application flows
  • Familiarity with paid funnel efficiency and 'experiment-first' funnels
