About the Role
The Senior Product Manager, Student & Staff Experience, is a critical role at CyberNut, responsible for owning the human experience of the company's security awareness training platform. This involves understanding the needs and pain points of students, teachers, and administrators, and developing solutions that drive engagement and adoption. The successful candidate will be a strong product leader who can balance business objectives with user needs, and has a deep understanding of digital skills and remote work.As the first product manager in a growing product organization, the Senior Product Manager will operate as a peer to the VP of Product, and will be responsible for challenging assumptions and framing problems in a way that drives meaningful solutions. This role requires a unique blend of product management, design, and engineering skills, as well as the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

The company's platform uses phishing simulations, gamified microtraining, and real-time threat detection to educate users about security awareness, and the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for developing and iterating on this platform to meet the evolving needs of its users.
What You Will Do
- Own the product direction for the student and staff experience, from validated problem statement through design, execution, and launch
- Build interactive prototypes using AI prototyping tools like Claude, and iterate on them directly with cross-functional teams
- Hand off prototypes that are 70-80% complete, with flows, states, and edge cases worked through, to the design and engineering teams
- Run customer discovery to understand the needs and pain points of students, teachers, and administrators
- Drive prioritization with discipline, saying no to good ideas to protect great ones, and defending those calls with evidence
- Write problem statements and PRDs that carry work through the gated product process
- Partner with engineering to stress-test feasibility, scope, and trade-offs before a single line of production code is written
- Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing on release and launch planning
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's users, including their needs, pain points, and motivations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in ed-tech and security awareness training
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on user-centered design and digital skills
- Strong understanding of AI prototyping tools like Claude, and experience with design and engineering teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance business objectives with user needs
- Experience with customer discovery and user research, and a deep understanding of user needs and pain points
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with product development methodologies like Agile or Scrum
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions

- Experience with front-end development frameworks like React or Angular
