About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager at Lobster, you will play a crucial role in shaping the company's data network and products. You will work closely with the Chief Product Officer and cross-functional teams to execute on the product strategy, ensuring alignment across product initiatives. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include defining and evolving the product strategy, conducting market research, and collaborating with Product Marketing to support product launches.The Product & Engineering department is responsible for the design, development, and growth of Lobster's Data Platform, Data Network, and connected Data Products. As a senior product manager, you will lead product development cycles, ensure successful product outcomes, and advocate for the voice of the customer.
What You Will Do
- Define and help evolve the product strategy for specific product areas, collaborating closely with the CPO and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and ensure the product’s positioning aligns with customer needs.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap for your assigned areas with clear goals and timelines, aligning with Engineering Leads.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to support product launches and ensure product messaging resonates with the target audience.
- Contribute to the improvement of the product management process, ensuring tools and processes are clearly defined and effectively implemented.
- Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions, prioritizing features, and optimizing the product lifecycle.
- Drive product launches and collaborate on go-to-market strategies with cross-functional teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver products from concept to launch and adoption, aligning teams and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the CPO to ensure alignment across product initiatives and drive business growth.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with a focus on digital products for the supply chain and affinity with vertical AI.
- Experience in building a network and facilitating omni-directional collaboration between network participants.
- Experience in technical infrastructure software products with on-premises deployment options, and data integration is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to deliver products from concept to launch and adoption, aligning teams and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of using data and insights to drive decision-making and improve products.
- Knowledge of modern software development methodologies, with experience collaborating effectively with engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in English is required, and German language skills are a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based software products and cloud deployment options.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
