About the Role
The Senior Product Partnerships Manager position at Ramp is a strategic role that focuses on developing and maintaining partnerships to expand the company's product offerings. This involves identifying potential partners, negotiating terms, and ensuring the successful integration of these partnerships into Ramp's existing infrastructure. The role is critical in driving business growth by enhancing the company's product surface area through integrations such as tax and compliance automation, agentic commerce, data partnerships, and more. Given the nature of Ramp's business, which involves managing over00B in annualized spend for more than 50,000 companies, the partnerships developed in this role must be highly strategic and capable of scaling to meet the company's ambition. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related discipline, with a proven ability to own deals from inception to launch.
The role requires close collaboration with various teams, including Product, Engineering, Legal, and GTM, to ensure that partnerships are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals. This involves working side-by-side with these teams to scope out what partnerships are worth pursuing, structuring the integration, negotiating commercial and legal terms, and quarterbacking the launch to ensure customer adoption.
What You Will Do
- Source, qualify, and negotiate strategic product partnerships that align with Ramp's business objectives.
- Translate partner capabilities into product opportunities, working closely with Product and Engineering teams to define what to build and with Legal to frame risk, liability, and regulatory considerations.
- Negotiate complex commercial terms, including pricing, revenue sharing, and data governance.
- Lead the integration of new partnerships, ensuring seamless technical and operational execution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior counterparts at partner organizations, managing formal cadences such as quarterly business reviews and executive syncs.
- Define and report against partnership KPIs that map to Ramp's product and revenue priorities, ensuring that partnerships contribute meaningfully to the company's growth.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Solutions teams to ensure the successful launch and adoption of new partnerships.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities that can drive business innovation and growth.
- Contribute to the development of Ramp's partnership strategy, providing insights and recommendations based on market analysis and partnership performance data.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Product Partnerships, Product Management, or a related field, with a clear track record of owning deals from sourcing through launch.
- Experience in structuring and closing partnerships that require significant product and engineering work, not just channel referrals or reseller motions.
- Strong fluency with API-based integrations, with the ability to scope technical work directly with engineers and product managers.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, with the ability to make strategic decisions in the absence of complete information.
- Strong commercial instincts, including pricing, term structure, risk allocation, and the ability to drive a contract to signature.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A background in fintech or a related industry is highly desirable, with experience in product management being a strong plus.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience negotiating data, API, or model-access governance terms.
- A background that includes experience in one of the categories mentioned (e.g., tax and compliance automation, agentic commerce, data partnerships).
- Experience with international payments, receipt automation, or other relevant areas of fintech.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to fintech partnerships.
- Experience with partnership management tools and technologies.
Benefits and Perks
- Competitive compensation package, reflecting the importance and complexity of the role.
- Opportunity to work with a cutting-edge fintech company that is revolutionizing how businesses manage their finances.
- Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a team of experienced professionals.
- Professional development opportunities, including training and education programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Flexible working arrangements, including remote work options, to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
- Access to the latest technologies and tools, ensuring you have what you need to excel in your role.
- A culture that values innovation, creativity, and teamwork, recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
