About the Role
The Senior Program Manager, Enterprise Technology & AI, plays a pivotal role in driving Gitlab's IT strategy forward. This position entails leading large-scale, complex technology programs that intersect with multiple domains and functions, including IT, Finance, Legal, Product, and Business Operations. As a trusted advisor to IT leadership, you will translate strategic objectives into structured roadmaps and measurable outcomes. Your day-to-day will involve navigating ambiguity, aligning diverse stakeholders, and driving decisions across teams.The role requires a deep understanding of the underlying problems, desired outcomes, and solution trade-offs. You will operate at the forefront of innovation, where technology and business converge. What You Will Do
- Own end-to-end program management for large-scale or high-complexity Enterprise Technology & AI initiatives
- Define and communicate clear success metrics for each program, reporting status and risk to Enterprise Technology & AI leadership
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of underlying problems, desired outcomes, and solution trade-offs
- Drive cross-functional alignment by facilitating decision-making, resolving dependencies, and maintaining momentum across distributed teams
- Recommend and implement improvements to program governance frameworks, intake processes, and ways of working across the CIO org
- Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear, actionable work plans accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Anticipate risks and interdependencies across the portfolio, proactively mitigating blockers before they impact delivery
- Model Gitlab values and remote work best practices, contributing to a high-trust, async-first team culture
What We Are Looking For
- 6+ years of program management experience, with a strong track record delivering large-scale or high-complexity technology programs
- Technical fluency, with experience in IT, AI, or related fields
- Business acumen, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive business outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of delivering results in a remote setting
- Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in analyzing complex problems and developing creative solutions

- Experience with DevSecOps and agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, with experience in integrating AI into program management
